I. Functions of bank card

1. Deposit and withdraw cash. Most bank cards enable domestic and foreign currencies, fixed term and current deposits, and other savings functions. With a debit card, money can be deposited at and withdrawn from the outlets of the bank that issued the debit card, self-service banks, and ATMs (automatic teller machines) across China and even around the world.

2. Transfer and remittance. Cardholders can transfer or remit money to other accounts through bank outlets, online banking, self-service banking and other channels.

3. Pay by card. Cardholders can use the debit card to pay for goods.

4. Distribute and withhold. Scholarships can be distributed and various fees paid via the debit card.


II. Procedures of applying for bank card, e-payment and exchange

1. Bank card application: Please apply for a debit card at the bank with your mobile phone (with a mobile phone number within China) and passport (including a valid residence permit). Students in Nanjing should go to the Bank of China Gulou Sub-branch in Nanjing for the application (near Xikang Road Campus) as far as possible, and to other banks near the campus for other transactions. Students in Changzhou should go to Construction Bank Hehai Road Sub-branch in Changzhou for the application. Please keep the bank account information for verification.

2. Open an e-payment account: Please download the corresponding app with the help of the bank staff on the site, and bind the mobile phone number with the bank card.

3. Foreign currency exchange: Please go to any bank during working hours, and the counter will handle the matters.


III. Information about banks around the university

IV. Fees

Application fee, tuition fee, accommodation fee


V. Time for payment

New students can register only after paying all fees. If the payment cannot be finished within two weeks of the due date, the students will be regarded as dropping out on his / her own. International students who have obtained student status are required to pay tuition and accommodation fees for the next academic year within two weeks after the start of each year.


VI. How to pay

1. Students in China should pay via the unified campus payment platform (online payment) of Hohai University, in RMB only
