I. Documents and items to be prepared before registration
1. List of documents
1) Valid passport and visa
2) Original admission notice
3) Original Visa Application for Study in China (Form JW201/JW202)
4) Original or notarized copy of degree certificate and all transcripts
5) Physical examination form for foreigners and related reports
6) Three 2-inch photos with a white background
Students are advised to make a copy of the important certificates as backup.
2. Estimated cost
Insurance: CNY 800 per year, physical examination fee at the Entry-Exit Management Department: about CNY 500
Tuition: based on discretionary consideration
Students are advised to bring along CNY 2,000-3,000 in cash as reserves.
3. Baggage
Jiangsu Province has a humid subtropical climate with four distinct seasons and abundant rainfall. The average annual temperature is 13°C-22°C. Please bring appropriate clothing. After arriving at the university, students can buy daily necessities in supermarkets nearby.
II. Registration time
The registration time for the spring semester is generally February to March, and that for the autumn semester is generally September. The specific registration date is indicated in the admission notice.
III. Place for registration
Students should go to the campus and location indicated in the admission notice for registration.
IV. How to get to the university from the airport and by subway
1. Nanjing Lukou Airport - Xikang Road Campus
Public transportation: Take Line S1 at Lukou Airport Subway Station - Nanjing South Subway Station (transfer to Line 1) - Gulou Subway Station (transfer to Line 4) - Yunnan Road Subway Station, then take a taxi or walk 1.2 kilometers to the Xikang Road Campus of Hohai University.
The subway costs CNY 8, and the whole journey is estimated to cost CNY 20.
Taxi: Take a taxi directly from the airport, which is estimated to cost about CNY 140 and about one hour.
2. Nanjing Lukou Airport - Jiangning Campus
Public transportation: Take Line S1 at Lukou Airport Subway Station - Hohai University Station on Focheng West Road, then walk to the Jiangning Campus of Hohai University.
Taxi: Take a taxi directly from the airport, which is estimated to cost about CNY 80 and about 30 minutes.
3. Changzhou Benniu Airport - Changzhou Campus
Public transportation: Take the airport bus to Changzhou Railway Station Subway Station - transfer to Line 1 to Hohai University Subway Station - walk about 600 meters to Changzhou Campus of Hohai University.
Taxi: Take a taxi directly from the airport, which is estimated to cost about CNY 70 and about 30 minutes.

V. Registration steps and procedures
The university will issue relevant notices on the website or WeChat official account in advance, please follow and complete the registration procedures as required. The general registration process is as follows:
Check identity → check admission notice, academic degree certificate, transcript, physical examination form for foreigners, etc. → pay fees, apply for insurance, have dormitory assigned → apply for a mobile phone number in China, campus card → obtain student ID, class schedule, various study manuals, etc. → go through the dormitory check-in procedures → make an appointment for a medical examination → apply for a residence permit → apply for a bank card.
