1.Students should attend class and reach the study requirements. The Certificate of Completion and transcripts will be issued to those students who pass the exams.
2.The report record uses the hundred-mark system. The assessment is based on students’ attendance, classroom performance, test scores, etc. Final results are composed of midterms, final exams and usual performance, using the ratio 3: 4: 3.
3.Students are required to show their passport when registering at the Chinese Training Center of International School. Students should inform International School within 3 days when their personal address, phone number and other important information changes.
4.Students should comply with learning discipline, attend classes on time, take the exams and should not leave or be absent from classes without permission.
5.Students should apply for clearance within one week after the end of the final exam. Students can’t get the certificate of completion without returning any borrowed items or settling their account at the college. Students who have to leave school ahead of time for special reasons also need to complete the procedures mentioned above.
6.Students will receive their certificate of completion after fulfilling all the requirements of the leaving procedures. Students are fully responsible for their personal lives after completing their studies at Hohai University.
7.Students should ask for leave when they are sick or have a personal matter to deal with. If they need 2-days leave, students should get permission from the class teacher. For leave of over 3 days, students should get permission from the office of International School. During the course of the leave, students are fully responsible for their safety, health and other issues.
8.Students cannot pass the course if they have been absent without excuse for more than 4 weeks or have not written the exam. Students whose absent time is more than 1/3 for each course can not get the certificate of completion.
9.Students should quit school under the following situations:
1) The student asks to quit school.
2) The student is diagnosed by the designated hospital with a severe illness or accident disability making it impossible for the student to continue studying.
3) Students make serious anti-China statements and actions while studying at the school.
4) Students violate Chinese law and are sentenced to detention or other worse punishment by Chinese related authorities.
Students who quit school should apply to shorten the residence time and leave China as soon as possible. In accordance with the related regulations, International School, Hohai University will submit an application to the immigration department informing them that the student’s visa and residence permission are invalid. If the student refuses to apply to shorten the residence time or can’t be contacted, International School will deal with it in accordance with relevant national laws.
