The subjects in the research direction has been formed in both estuaries, coastalshipping, engineering features, the structure and dynamics, solid and fluid with a complete discipline system. Mainly engaged in port, coastal and offshoreengineering planning; estuary, coast hydrodynamic environment andcomprehensive management; channel scour and silting evolution rule and its prevention measures; port and waterway engineering structure and itsfoundation; research on port, coastal engineering economic and technical development etc..
