The exchange students from Polytech’Nice-Sophia visited the Water Experimental Center of Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute (NHRI) on May 8th, 2013. They received warm welcome from Mr. Liu, Director of Personal Office, and Mr. Shen, Deputy Director of the Comprehensive Service Department, NHRI.
Mr. Liu and Mr. Shen introduced some information about NHRI and some experimental studies of national key hydraulic projects conducted at the center. Dr. Guan, Deputy Director of College of International Education, Hohai University, introduced the history of the cooperation between the two institutes. Both French and Chinese students exchanged opinions about their academic studies and campus-life. They also exchanged inspiring opinions about Hydraulics study in their major studies.
Students also paid visits to 4 hydraulic experimental halls related to bridges, shoals, navigation, and estuary studies. All the French students were deeply impressed by the research achievements of the experimental center of NHRI.
French students were having discussions with graduate students of NHRI.
French students were observing the Model of Hong Kong- Zhuhai- Macao Bridge.
