Water-Environment Forum in Hohai University, 2019

Water is the driver of life, determines the pattern of the ecosystem and supports the livelihood of large parts of the population. The aim of this Water-Environment Research Forum is to learn Essential Hydro-Environmental Modeling Software's as well as to earn knowledge about Writing Scientific Journals/Articles in the respective research fields.

The International School of Hohai University organized the 1st research seminar of Water-Environment Forum, 2019 on 14th May, 2019 (Tuesday). College of Hydrology & Water Resources and College of Environment, Hohai University are the co-organizers for this Research forum.

Mr Fan Rui, vice-dean of International School, Hohai University was present during the Forum; he gave a speech for the opening ceremony. Mr Fan mentioned that these types of Research forum are very essential for graduates students during their academic life at Hohai University.

Professor Dr Li Yiping, vice dean of the College of Environment was invited as an expert to give research advice. Prof. Li Yiping gave valuable knowledge about the importance of learning Water-Environment Modeling Softwares for conducting research.

Professor Dr Zhang Ke from College of Hydrology & Water Resources was invited as a professional scientific journal editor for helping graduate students about some useful tips for publishing Academic Scientific Articles during their postgraduates studies.

Mr.Gazi Tawfiq Ezaz, PhD candidate, College of Hydrology & Water Resources introduced the importance of Water Environment Research forum for graduate students. Mr Eyram Norgbey, PhD candidate, College of Environment and Kamal Prasad Pandey, master's graduate candidate, College of Water Conservancy & Hydropower Engineering presented their research works.

About 100 graduate students from College of Hydrology & Water Resources, College of Environment, College of Hydropower and Water Conservancy, College of Harbor,Coastal & Off-shore Engineering, College of Civil and Transportation Engineering, College of Agricultural Engineering participated the Water-Environment Forum.

Dr Zhang Xiuju from College of Hydrology & Water Resources, Ms Li Junyu, director of academic affairs office and Ms Yang Ying, director of student affairs office, International School were present during the forum. Students are very grateful to the International School for organizing Water-Environment Research Forum.

Students were very attentive and active through this research forum and they pointed out that this types of academic activities can improve their research knowledge as well can lead them towards better future that can also bring fame for Hohai University. (Gazi Tawfiq Ezaz, Li Junyu)
