Majors：
International students taught in Chinese will be cultivated according to Hohai University graduates programs. International students taught in English will be cultivated according to Hohai University English graduates programs.

Education Duration：
Hohai carries out flexible schooling system. The standard doctorate program is 4 years, the duration is minimum 3 years and no more than 6 years. The standard academic master program is 3 years and the professional master one is 2-3 years, the duration is minimum 2 years and no more than 5 years.
Qualification:
The master applicant should have a bachelor degree or equivalent one; the doctorate applicant should have a master degree or equivalent one.
Chinese citizens who have obtained foreign nationalities shall follow the regulation of Ministry of Education of China.

Jan.1 to May.30, 2018, varies accordingly to different scholarships.

Application Documents:
1) Scan copy of passport and visa page;
2) A copy of Diploma and degree (notarized version); Those to be graduated are expected to provide proof of graduation;
3) Related transcripts (original or notarized version);
4) HSK5 certificate for Chinese-taught majors, corresponding English proficiency certificate for English-taught majors;
5) A statement of purpose, including personal experience, the professional background and research plan, 400-800 words；
6) The abstract and content of the applicant’s thesis published if there’s any;
7) Two recommendation letters from (associate) professors;
8) Healthy report.
Scholarships:
Hohai University offers various scholarships for international students
Chinese Government Scholarship:
●Full scholarship (including tuition, lodging, living allowance and comprehensive medical insurance);
Partial scholarship includes one or a few items under the full scholarship.

b. The applicant shall fulfill the Hohai online application;
c. Hohai will only recommend the postgraduate applicants who’re NOT studying in China to CSC.

Nanjing Municipal Government Scholarship
● The scholarship is 20,000RMB/year (Annual Review).

Hohai-WMO Scholarship (For “Hydrology and Water Resources” Master Program Only)
●Hohai provides tuition, lodging and living allowance; WMO provides comprehensive medical insurance and international airfare;
●Application Period: Nov.1, 2017 to Feb.28, 2018
Application Procedures:
a. The applicant shall get nomination from the Permanent Representative of the country with WMO with a completed Fellowship Nomination Form (FNF):

b. The applicant shall fulfill the Hohai online application and get a pre-admission letter from the admission office;

Dormitory
The doctorate students in the College of Hydrology and Water Resources, the College of Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering, the College of Harbor, Coastal and Offshore Engineering, the College of Civil and Transportation Engineering, the College of Environment will live on Xikang Road Campus. The others will live on Jiangning campus. The facilities include the bed, mattress, desk, closet, chair, hot water, internet access, toilet and public laundry room.
Admission and Announcement
The applicant shall find the results of admission and scholarship on our website: http://ie.hhu.edu.cn before Jul.30, 2018.
Our Admission Notice as well as visa application for studying in China (JW201/202 Forms) will be delivered to those who’re enrolled.
Visa Application and Registration
Those who’re enrolled shall submit the admission notice, visa application for studying in China (JW201/202 Form), physical report and blood test report to local Chinese Embassy or Consulate to apply a student (X1) visa to China. The applicant shall register at Hohai University within the appointed time on the admission notice. The applicant who doesn’t obtain the required degree or certificate as descried on the proof of graduation will be canceled the chance of registration.
