Hohai student gets the "Green Talent Award" of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research

    On October 27, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research awarded this year's "Green Talent Award" in Berlin, and Eyram Norgbey, a Ghanaian student at Hohai University, was honored.

    Green Talents, set up under the auspices of the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research, has entered its ninth year with the focus this year on "Sustainable Production and Consumption." The award provides a platform for young researchers to exchange ideas about how to understand green concepts and how to make the world a better place. In the selection of the Prize, a panel of senior experts selected 25 researchers from 602 applicants from 95 countries . The selection was based on innovative research on sustainable development and climate change.

    The current winners participated in a two-week scientific expedition in Germany from October 16 to 27, including visiting well-known research institutions, including the German Remote Sensing Data Center (DFD), Fraunhofer Solar Energy System Institute ISE, Institute of Advanced Sustainability (IASS), Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Technical University Munich   (TUM) and VAUDE, an innovative provider of outdoor products for sustainable development. The winners can establish contact with the scientific community and communicate with key innovators to lay the foundation for future cooperation. In 2018, they will also be invited to return to Germany to carry out fully funded research projects at their choice of research institutes.
